Community Drums Music School has been involved with the ASSAI program (After School Sports & Arts Initiative) in SD61 for 9 years, and previously the Jumpstart afterschool program (Dash BC) in the Lower Mainland since 2013. Find out more about After School Music here.
"The Wall of Sound” DRUM ENSEMBLE
Ages 5-10 / 12-weeks / cost $365
Calling all young drummers to the circle! These group classes are for school-age kids beginning their rhythmic journey. Students will learn the inner workings of everything DRUM — bucket drums, hand percussion, & drum kit. The group will perform as a band, playing songs in our year-end recital.
K1 & K2 BAND
Ages 8-12* / 12-weeks / cost $405
Learn what it takes to be in a band! Primarily for students who have already learned an instrument and are ready to perform songs with others! Join the group on drums, guitar, bass, piano, ukulele or vocals. The band will learn a set of songs together and perform them on stage.
UKULELE UNIVERSE
Ages 8-14* / 12-weeks / cost $385
Calling all ukesters! A group class for beginner & returning students learning the ukulele in a fun, easy, rhythmical way.
Learn chords with ranging difficulty, strumming patterns, and perform songs of their choice with others!
WEDNESDAYS 430-530pm
K3 TEEN BAND
Ages 12-18* / 12-weeks / cost $405
Join a band and record your songs! For those who would like to take their playing to the next level — finding your ‘sound’! Make your own music, or cover songs shaped to your own style! The group will have an opportunity to perform events.
TEEN DRUMLINE
Ages 12-18yrs* / 12-weeks / cost $385
Open to middle-school & highschool band drummers! This course is designed for those who have already
learned about drumming and are ready to continue exploring their rudiments with extra practice — a continuation of marching band exercises. Students will have the opportunity to perform at events!
THURSDAYS 6-7pm
